Live Standard 9.7.7 Upgrade to 11 Standard Nightmare

Windows 10 Laptop, i7

Purchased upgrade from Live Standard. 9.7.7 to Live 11 Standard. Followed Installation instructions on Ableton site to the letter and it seemed to go fine.

Been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.

Whenever I open 11, it takes forever to initialize. When it finally does open, if I click anywhere on the app, it doesn't respond and I have to close it with ctrl-alt-delete, which also takes forever to open.

In top of that, my entire computer seems to be screwed up now. Everything is slower. Web browsers are freezing and crashing. It takes Forever to restart.

Why would anyone actually sell this software? WT absolute Hell? Is my computer broken now? What the hell do I do?

And now I'm getting a white screen of death. Gonna do a system restore. The hell with this.

This is obviously not right. Did you check your Win version's compatibility with L11?

i had the same problem, for me the problem was my midi keyboard failing to activate and ableton into a loop/freeze, my fix was to unplug the keyboard usb cable and start ableton and it would start without issue then plug in my keyboard, it happens from time to time but my method seems to fix the freeze, also i didnt have any problems with my machine like you are having, hope this helps
