A keygrid (as opposed to keyboard) is a contrapuntal instrument with the notes arranged vertically in perfect fourths, and horizontally as chromatic. It is playable with two hands like a piano [or organ, harpsichord, or any other keyboard instrument], but with a system of notes matching the guitar in perfect 4ths tuning, a bass guitar, double bass, etc. As a new standard, electronic and hybrid models will take centre stage in the upcoming musical era.

Re: 'keygrid' instrument setup [with two Push 1 units]
Show off! :p
How on earth have you learned to play the keyboard on that?! Practice I guess. Did you not have a MIDI keyboard and were forced to be creative? It's interesting what we can do under imposed limitations.
I don't know enough music theory to tell, but I presume you have arranged the pads such that the relationships between notes from pads with a particular relative positioning will sound good, like stacked thirds or fifths or something?
I enjoyed the listen and the performances!
Keep it up.

Re: 'keygrid' instrument setup [with two Push 1 units]
Thanks Psyberspace! The perfect fourths stack, which I am calling 'keygrid', is a default arrangement available on both Push and the LPXs - though I modified the colors to be more neutral; black and white like the keyboard. I do practice for sure.Psyberspace wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 6:51 amShow off! :p

As I was progressing in my counterpoint studies - I did not want to bother learning the keyboard, I actually found it easier with the keygrid setup because I already knew guitar patterns -which are replicated (at least the EADG strings, or like bass guitar) here.
I really appreciate it! More to come
