11.1 and OSX Catalina ?

I am wondering if I should update to 11.1, since it is optimized for Apple M1…

I have 10.15.7 Catalina on a 2018 MBP (intel i9)

For sure I’ll wait to see if any issues arises from other users.

Live 11.1 works for both M1 machines and just the same as before for Intel machines, no reason not to upgrade.

I have big problem with live and with the latest update’s!

I have hade problem free world since version 5 and now everything is bad.

WTF Ableton.

Well I updated Live recently and then this happened so there isn't any other conclusion really.

Good thing I kept 11.0.12 because 11.1 dropped a lot of VST2 Plugins !

While plug-in scanning is in progress, plug-ins may temporarily appear missing.

I waited until scanning was over before my post.

Raum is now only seen as a VST3, which is ok for future projects, but since it is a reverb that I use a lot, all my old projects will not open correctly in Live 11.1

If you're on an intel machine then this isn't expected AFAIK. You might want to check with support@ableton.com.

That suggests to me you have duplicate vst2 plugins somehwere within your system.

Just installed 11.1, and I'm running it on my old mid-212 macbook pro on Catalina.

So far, no issue (it just took a long time scanning all the plugins).

On one set I tried, it was even a little bit better cpu-wise, but I need to test it on more sets...
Anyway, no big issue.
And I love he new clip presentation : it's so much more clever than before !
