How to stop a sound with drum rack

Post by jgloppe » Sun Feb 06, 2022 2:38 pm

I am looking for how to stop a sound with my pads on drum rack.
Basically, when I launch a sound, I want to be able to stop it by taping again on my pad to stop the sound.
Therefore, I don't find this possibility.
Thanks for your comments.

You want the drum cells to act as toggles, is that right?

That's correct. I use drum rack and my sound is on one of the key. I mapped a pad on this key so that the sound is launched when I tap on the pad. Therefore I would like the sound to be stoped by tapping again on the same Pad.

Not exactly what you're looking for but what you can do is set up a pad with no sound (the sample has volume set to -infinity). Then put all the pads (including this one) on the same choke group and when you trigger it all the sound from the drum rack will stop. It gives you one pad that will act as a mute whatever sound is playing (on that choke group).
