Determine Plugin Type on Current Track

Post by H20nly » Sun May 01, 2022 8:29 am

I am trying to figure out if I used an AU or a VST3 version of a plugin on an audio track. I'm not finding a way to do that in Live... All my internet searches are too nebulous using the terms in the question

Anybody know a way to do this?

Hi @H2Only,

That could be a little solution : if you click on "hot-swap presets", Ableton will bring you to the actual loaded preset in the Browser. Thus, you'll see if it's AU or VST3.

Let me know if that works for you,

Maxime
