Aux send as a macro

Post by volp » Thu Apr 28, 2022 9:08 pm

How do I use an aux send as a macro to control other parameter? I want to do this because I have a midi controller that can control aux sends of all tracks at the same time and it would be useful to have a filter in each track controlled by this aux.

Hi @volp,

What is your "midi controller" ?

A simple way to do that would be to choose one unique midi command and map it manually to all the parameters you want. In your case : all the "aux send" and all those "filters" on each track.

However, as it seems your midi controller is set up as a control surface, if you want this assignation to be "automatic", I see two but maybe complex way to achieve this.

First one would be to modify or create a new control surface script. And you could use Remotify to do that.

Second one would be to build or use a Max for Live tool. You can check for such a device on maxforlive.com but you'll be very lucky to find it.

Hope I gave you some ideas,

Hello.
I made last year exactly thise device after qsomeone ask for it in this forum..
It converts the 8 first send to any parameter you want.

You can mod it if tou need less controllers per tracks.
