Ableton Live 11.1 - Stability, CPU, bugs and stuff...
Re: Ableton Live 11.1 - Stability, CPU, bugs and stuff...
Hi all, I´m on Win10 and in 11.1 NO M4L devices work - they are not adjustable via my mouse. When i click and turn an parameter, nothing happens. When i tunr another, the last one jumps to the previous adjustet value. BUT no sound, controller data is sent by the M4L devices. The Stock ones (LFO etc) as own built controllers for my hardware. I created a ticket but the only hint was false HDPI preferecnes according to my 2nd monitor. All tips did not worked out. In Live 11.0.12 all is fine....

Re: Ableton Live 11.1 - Stability, CPU, bugs and stuff...
Hi everyone,
Working on a MacBook Pro 2020 16" 2,6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 memory, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB graphics.
Operating system: macOS Monterey 12.4
installed live 11.1.5 two days ago, and it's quite annoying.
Live freezes A LOT. Especially when I want to change the audio output. Not even selecting the new output, but just clicking on the list it just freezes. Almost all the time. Also when I want to change the LFO in the Operator to sync, it freezes. Sometimes that works. Mostly not. Sometimes just by clicking on other stuff. It's super irregular and comes unexpectedly. Sometimes Live is stable for an hour, then freezes every 5min.
My Mac says it takes up more than 100% CPU when it freezes.
Live itself doesn't get higher than 6/7CPU.
Already reset Live twice, and re-installed it once.
There are no plug-ins on my Macbook.
Buffer size is set at 512
Sample rate 44100
Before I worked with Live 10 Suite and it worked perfectly normal. Did quite heavy stuff with it also. A lot of sample layering and complex sound design. Never had a problem.
Anyone suggestions?
I looked up quite the forums already and followed some steps, but with no luck.
Please help!

What's your audio interface?

Hi!
I ran across the same issue, and the problem seemed to be that some parts of the mac security settings weren't enabled. I enabled everything and it fixed the issue for me.
Cheers

Hey man, thanks for your respons. But there isn't even any audio interface. Right now just working only with my laptop. Only stock plug inns, no external or other downloaded stuff. But I also can't find the 'placer' label you mean?

MacBook Pro (15-inch 2018) - Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6
Intel core 2.2Ghz - 16Go Ram - Radeon pro 555x 4Go
RME Firaface 800 & RME Fireface UFX+ - Live 11.1.6
Hello,
just a little feedback and my humble opinion here.
After having worked a lot with live 10 with this configuration without problem on stage & in studio, I tried to work with Live 11 on my new projects.
As indicated on the Ableton site I had the system requirements & at first, I thought it worked pretty well.
But when some projects got a little more complex adding tracks, plug-ins and automation, Live 11 started to slow down with high CPU values.
So If you have a Mac configuration like me and you want to keep it smooth, I recommend to stay under Live 10.
