Noise coming from USB devices?

Hi,

I wonder if anybody can help me? I'm relatively new to home music production but not a complete noob . I have Ableton Live running through a home PC something like this.

PC - FOCUSRITE 2i4 USB - POWERED Monitors

I have several Midi Devices Connected all via USB Midi -

- Arturia MiniLab Mk2 - Midi Only
- Behringer MS1 - Analogue Input via the Focusrite
- Behringer RD8 - Analogue Input via the Focusrite
- Behringer TD3 - Analogue Input via the Focusrite
- Arturia Beatstep Pro - Midi Only

And Finally the culprit, the Native Instruments Launchpad Mini Mk3 - Everytime I connect this I get a ridiculous amount of hum coming through my studio monitors.

All the Midi Devices are connected through the same USB Extender that has 6 inputs on it.

Any ideas?

I assume you've tried switching the USB cable to the launchpad?

Totally unscientific, but on occasion when I've had hum with any equipment, I've made sure that only 2 prong plug goes into wall from any device or power strip, so that ground is not engaged, sometimes this can help.

You mean taking away the earth connection? Would not do that!!!

Just an idea: are there any plug-ins on a track that gets its MIDI from the Launchpad? Virtual instruments like a B3 emulation often have a residual hum on them to mimic the real instrument. Or something that adds a lot of distortion to a signal, like a Decapitator?
