live does function as both a rewire slave and master, but it doesn't seem rewire to another instance of itself.
if this were possible, it would be really beneficial for assembling non stop, dj-esque live performances. one could simply crossfade back and forth between the two instances of the program, rather than trying to arrange a non stop set within a single screen of columns. live sets could be much more improvisational this way.
this currently can be done by running two instances and syncing them both to the same external clock source. but it would be really nice to able to do it via rewire if performing with just a laptop and no external gear.

Run two copies of Live and sync them to MIDIClock.
No external hardware needed, nor additional overhead from Rewire. Though I could think of a couple of uses...
