A few DAWs like Cubase, Studio Onenow have chord tracks .

There are many plugins- midi - for example that allow you to create harmonies etc based of chord progressions entered in but the best way overall surely is to have the progression entered into the DAW project itself.

So Ableton devs - please... pretty please - add a CHORD TRACK or CHORD PROGRESSIOn feature in there !

Ableton has the most bare-bones midi editing I've seen on any DAW ever and we've been asking for even the most basic of upgrades since the dawn of time. You'll probably be waiting a while.

+1 this was also a handy feature with Sonic Foundry Acid!

Amazingly, something like the open source "Impro-Visor" Jazz AI software could be ported to M4L, and output rich MIDI arrangements
