I wonder if anyone could please help?
I have my external hardware synth (Prophet 08) connected via MIDI to my SSL 2+ audio interface. MIDI out from synth, to MIDI in on SSL (using a DIN cable, not USB) Then, audio cable connected from L (mono) from Prophet into SSL and two monitor speakers connected to SSL. Using a MIDI track with external instrument, when I hit the keys you can hear the notes through the monitor speakers and also visually on the track volume on the clip. When I arm and then record, the midi notes played are there on the midi note editor view, but when you hit clip launch no sound is heard. The play head just plays but no sound when it passed over the MIDI notes. Baffled! and I'm sure this is an super easy solution. Checked MIDI settings on Prophet (MIDI channels set to ALL) and clicked track & sync within Ableton preferences for the SSL 2+ MIDI ports....
Would anyone be kind enough to help please?
