I need help with setting up the Maschine Mikro Mk3 as a Midi Controller.
What I want to achieve:
I want to use the Maschine Mk3 as a controller mainly to create drum patterns. I don't want to use the Maschine VST plugin but usual ableton or other VST drum-racks and use the pads to trigger the notes.
What is the problem:
When I connect the device I switch it to midi mode (Shift + Maschine symbol on top left). Now I can e.g. assign statt/stop/record button etc. That works fine. But if I hit the pads of the controller they are just not sending a signal to my midi lanes. I checked if the problem are the octaves (so I went from C-2 all the way up to G-8) but they don't light up anywhere. Do I have to switch into a specific mode (Pad, Keyboard, Scene, etc.)? It is really annoying that it is not straightforward to use when you don't want to use the maschine plugin.
