How would that work?
If you can identify the notes in the MIDI clip, you should be able to figure out general key/chord info...
If not, post 'em. Ppl here can help.

Cubase creates musical notation that you can print-out from MIDI, but this would not be in guitar tabulature form. (It would not show you the phrasing of the chords or frets you should play.)

after a quick google, I didn't see sheet music to tab. DO WORK! READ SHEET MUSIC!

PowerTab will do it. It's free but PC only. It will automatically section out the various midi tracks and let you select which ones to transcribe into tab format. Works for guitar and bass, and has built in midi playback. However its a very automatic process and sometimes the results it comes up with are just completely unplayable. But often the program gets it right. It will also let you enter parts as tab/score and then convert into midi.

I did some searching. apparently Logic has a 'tablature' view. i've just used Abletons Audio to Midi melody feature to convert a bass guitar part to midi. It needed a lot of cleaning up considering how simple and monophonic the part was. Tomorrow I'll try loading the midi part into Logic and creating the tab
