Freezing tracks also froze overloaded cpu sound

Post by tinalwayswin » Thu Mar 23, 2023 11:11 pm

Hello everyone,

Hope all is well, I am here to share a strange anomaly I found.

When freezing a large group of tracks sometimes it will also freeze a snippet of my cpu being overloaded (ie: static pops). After unfreezing, the pops and clicks no longer are present. The same is true after freezing again afterwards.

This was discovered after initially thinking my audio recordings were faulty, but a closer look revealed it was coming from the frozen tracks.

Has anyone come across this ? Thanks for the replies.

I've never run into this unless my track itself is overmodulated. But I Freeze and Flatten my tracks individually so I'm never really tasking the CPU that much.

What is your default warp mode? Complex can sometimes be a little more demanding.

I am using complex pro, so I can see why that can add more stress.
