The lack of customizable keyboard support in this product is appalling. It's a big time waster for me.
The UI is nice for what is supported but it's nowhere near enough for professionals.
Use a different DAW then...
Cheers

1) Select Key Map Mode Switch top right.
2) Click Instrument wrench icon.
3) Click a key on qwerty keyboard ( I used `).
4) Deselect Key Map Mode.
5) Pressing ` should open vst instrument on the particular track selected.

This works great, but only saved projects retain this. (default will not that I can see here)
Still it's a step in the right direction for things like Sonimus Console A (which I use on every track) where it's not mapped in Push 2.
Live 11.x Suite, Push 2, AMD Ryzen 7900x @ 4.7 GHZ, Windows 11, 32 GB ram, Volt 2, Nektar T4 and Atom SQ.
Also a new lappy: i7 1269, 32 gigs of ram.

Poop, edit again, no, this doesn't work when you open a new project (grrrrr)
This really needs to be addressed

Meh, I've run into a problem. If you have several of the same instance, it opens ALL (which makes sense I guess) but it's really too hard to distinguish which is which.

Please ableton implement this…or at least being able to pin the plug-ins you want the GUI to remain open, combining that with auto hide would be nice
