Push, starting a new "project" and timing

Post by chris harbin » Sun Mar 26, 2023 12:39 am

Ok, forgive me for being a toad, but I'm somewhat confused about this.

So you open a new "project", and you tap tempo. The clock is now ticking. So even with a "fixed length" it's not going to start where you want.

Is it really necessary to hit the "play" with "shift" every time you want to start recording? It's a FWP, but being new it's confusing to me.

Seems there should be an option or something for this not to be a problem. Sorry if my comments are vague.

BTW, my "settings" for a new song/project in the session view are input quantize on (16ths) and the intro set to "one bar" before recording. The "click" is only on during recording. Something I'm missing?

Ok, I've been in HE double L for the last two or three days trying to get this thing (and everything else) up and running right.

For some reason, it's now behaving as expected. I think "onedrive" is the culprit. Upgraded to 11 again and have now uninstalled it. We'll see......

Meh, it's ba-ack.

I don't get it, it's probably not a bug because it's not constant. It absolutely must be something I'm doing wrong. Maybe the push? Not sure. I don't have my Presonus stuff installed (the SQ and the original ATOM) so I don't have a baseline.

Don't know how to do a vid. Maybe I'll look into that today, that would help example of what's going on, but currently I do not know how.

And realistically, it's a FWP since if I could simply remember to shift/play (to set to all "ones" ) consistently, it would not be a problem.

Uncheck "start playback with tap tempo" is the key.

DERP/DOH!!!!!!!!!!
