HI,
It seem like Ableton Live refuses to have two different patches control the same parameter... Is that so?
My case :
For my live performance, sometimes I need an expression pedal to control the volume of a track, and sometimes I need the modulation wheel to do that. I'm using one "Max API CtrlMIDIcc" patch on track 1 to map the expression pedal the volume fader of track 2, And another "Max API CtrlMIDIcc" patch on track 1 to map the mod Wheel to the volume fader of track 2.
IT doesn't work, only the first controller to be set will work...
Any Idea ?
Thanks
Can I map two patches to the same parameter?

In the CV Tools pack, there's a device called "CV Utility". As its name doesn't suggests it, it should let you do what you need.
Midi map your controllers to 2 different "value" parameters, and then use the device's "map" option to map your track's volume fader.
The "values" in this device are cumulative, you might need to take this into account.

Hi !
that's a good advice, and indeed, the cumulative aspect will be an issue !
But I found a way around by routing all the data as MIDI messages : they can all merge AND they don't add... Sometime you just need to ask the question and you find a solution
Anyway, I had fun exploring the CV tools pack; Thanks !
