Ableton Tempo to X32 Delay Times

Can someone tell me why when I map my X32 delay unit to the Tempo in Ableton, it reacts backwards? The slower the tempo, the shorter the X32 DDL time. I am sending an OSC message to change the delay time parameter. The tempo appears to puul up strange delay times that do not match. Thanks.
