Switch session-arrangement view using APC40

Hi,

I've just bought an APC40.

Does anybody know how to use it in order to switch between session and arrangement view (as you do with the TAB button in the computer keyboard).

If this function isn't set by default, can I use MIDI mapping to choose one key in the APC40 to do so?

Which should I map? Where's the "TAB" function to map (in the MIDI mapping view)?

Sorry LongJohns, no idea about this emulation you talk about.

is it a kind of Sysex messages?

Any reference manual?

well it might be a dumb idea anyway,

obviously you want the apc to act as remote with live according to it's own scripting

so if you also had it enabled as mackie control, it could get all messed up. i'm not even sure you can select the same device to operate as two different remotes

how about having a keystroke translator listen for a particular button press, and turning that into a "tab"

This by far is no stupid question! I am infuriated that it doesn’t have a a simple button to switch back-and-forth literally makes me want to send the stupid controller back. How the hell do you not think about that seriously mind blown I think I’m gonna send my APC MK2 back for real for real. And I can’t even map it midi wise so I can’t even figure out, so anybody have the answer??

It’s an Akai device, maybe you could ask them since they designed it and not Ableton?
