I was using my late model launchpad pro on the MacBook once for Live and happened to open Logic while it was still connected. Was pleasantly surprised at how much integration was on the LP pro for Logic!
I did not spend time exploring too much but there was a focus on the clip loop / ‘session’ mode Logic has added. If this version of Logic is going to be the same as the macOS version, that deep integration would be pretty cool and exciting.
I do have a variety of other apps that can use launchpads, but most are sort of, build-it-up manually or plugins, or just very specific use-cases.
I think the one thing which will absolutely be different between the iOS version and MacBook version is the possibility to use Non iOS Audio Units, and vst plugins. Aside from that, I’d hope they essentially have the same feature set. Which would be kind of impressive.
