Ableton suddenly cuts to zero just below -36 dB despite the CC11 Volume midi mapping (1-Init | Init) claiming to go from -inf dB to 0.0 dB. Any ideas how to fix this.
Ableton's receiving note data and I'm able to assign volume, filter, etc. via ⌘M but, while in Logic I can take the volume gradually down pretty much all the way to -inf dB, I'm getting a big jump from fairly quiet to nothing.
The MIDI controller is a Roland Aerophone AE-20 and I'm using Live 11.3.2 on macOS 13.4. I'm not aware of a Control Surface profile for Aerophones, so that's blank and I have Track and Remote checked for the 'In: AE-20' port (I have also tried all four AE-20 Midi ports with all check boxes checked).
MIDI Mapped volume cutting to zero at -36 dB
Re: MIDI Mapped volume cutting to zero at -36 dB
And 9 minutes after the initial post - I've worked it out: the issue is with Ableton Drift, it's default Vel > Vol value is 10% - wind-synth and similar users need to set this as 100%.
I'll keep this here in case anyone else has the same issue.
