Automation no longer works after adding a new parameter to a M4L device

Post by diemo » Thu Jun 01, 2023 5:52 am

Hi, after adding some new parameters to a M4L device, previously recorded automation curves in a Live set don't work anymore. They do move the right knobs, but don't actually change the parameter.
What's the right way to get them to work again. (I know there is because I did manage to do so once, but forgot how.)
Cheers!

Maybe obvious, but is the little automation square over the knob greyed out ? Then re-enable automation.

Automation is enabled, and it affects some parameters, but not the right ones... It is like the IDs of the parameters have changed in the device (because I edited it and added new ones in between), but the Live set has kept the old names and IDs.

Maybe check out [live.path] first two outputs : one follows the object, the other follows the path.
