Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
I'm struggling to disable the "Auto Arm" feature which I never enabled in the first place.
I never had this issue with the Push 2, but the Push 3 is basically auto arms all tracks by default in Controller mode.
Push 3: Controller Mode
Ableton Live 11.3.2
I tried to add '-NoAutoArming' to the options.txt but it didn't do anything.
Please advise.

Update:
Figured out the solution; my Audio Configuration was set to 'Push', 'PushFrom' and 'PushTo'.
This made the Push3 confused.
The correct setting is 'None'. Push3 will autodetect everything and it just works.

Thank you for posting the update. I was having the same issue in controller mode.
Re: Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
Can you please explain how this is done in the setting? I can't seem to locate this option?
Re: Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
Just simply make sure no Push controller is selected in the list. The P3 is recognized automatically, and its hidden in the UI.

Are you referring to the Midi list? Thanks

I have tried everything but I’m still having this problem. Every time I select an empty clip it arms that clip to record. I do this to stop a clip on the same track.

Re: Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
Thanks for posting this. I am also having the same issue. I have a feeling it's a bug, as it happens quite randomly, even auto-arming group tracks (which you can't record on!). I've tried all of the above and have no solution yet. What's also strange, is there doesn't seem to be anything in the documentation that says you DON'T need to choose PUSH (PUSH FROM, PUSH TO) in the MIDI settings.

Did anyone here already filled a ticket to Support about this?

I've been having the same issue with the Push 2. This is working for me:
1. With the Push powered on go to Preferences > MIDI
2. Find the Push in the MIDI section (Control Surface, Input, Output settings section)
3. Set the Push Input to "None" then back to "Ableton Push 2 (Live Port)"
The Push no longer auto arms tracks.
I do have "-NoAutoArming" in the Options.txt file. I don't know if that is required for this fix to work.
You will probably have to do this every time you start Live.

Re: Push 3 Auto Arms tracks in Controller Mode (Unintended)
I figured out a solution where it won't disarm record on an audio track if you click on a midi track.
Hit the preferences button on the Push (the little thing that looks like a spiky wheel) and under the "Status" tab there's an option for "Exclusive Arm". If you turn the knob right above this selection it will de-select it. Worked for me.

I have written to Ableton and they can reproduce this problem, I think it will be fixed on next update.
This problem is a real timekiller. There is no solution for me working. It’s very frustrating if you arm some tracks and loose all record focus, by clicking with the mouse in an other midi track.
