Creating MPE Enabled Max For Live Devices

Post by starkaudio » Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:34 am

The Max MIDI Effect template device does not have the "MPE" tag in the menu bar, and even when I just use the default device the routes midi in to midi out, MPE slide and bend seems to be filtered. This causes my older midi device to break MPE.

Is there a new MPE-enabled M4L template? How do I get slide to pass through?

Perhaps I need to try opening an MPE-tagged stock device and deleting everything out of it and using that as a template? Is there a better way?

Thanks!

Right click somewhere in the patcher background, open inspector, check ‘patch supports MPE’.

Found it thanks. The distinction between object inspection and patcher inspection gets me every time. :)
