We need better features to handle chord progressions
having just millions of scale options but in a single key is pretty useless.
Adding a means to also change the (forced) ke/yscale type on the fly for improvisation or trying out ideas ( like in hardware arrangers ) would be so cool
hardware arrangers for example have styles ( pattern collections really ) that are in C Major by design - which then can via the arranger engine be - on the fly - reharmonises to a different key/root and scale type by for example using fingered chords in the left hand.
EWN on the fly be able to change the key and chord type on the fly! from say C Major to. Eb dominant! and Ableton does all the clever theory work to make it sound good and correct !
