Scratch

This should be possible - an efx that would allow turntable scratching of clips in Live based on the technique as used in Miss Pinky or Serato Scratch - "reading the movement nfo through line-in" - , so you don't need dedicated hardware interface [like in Final Scratch]...

Than insert this beaty in a send channel and you can start scratching any file at liberty ...

... might be around the corder in a new form of Mrs. Pinky : http://www.creativesynth.com/interviews ... rview.html

This is the relevant part :
Since the code for demodulating and decoding the position information is written in C++, it's generic enough to be ported to almost any operating system, and any software system as well that accepts plugins.. like VST. For example I have wrapped the MsPinky code as a VST plugin, which runs on both Mac & PC (to be released soon...). Unfortunately most VST hosts don't give you much flexibility to connect the output of a VST plugin to just anything. They always assume that a VST plugin is just some kind of audio FX processor. But the VST plugin version of MsPinky will allow you to play audio files under the control of the turntable (nothing new, of course..).
