Simpler - Can't play samples when in Slice mode

Hi all,

I'm not able to trigger any samples when I have Simpler in Slice mode. In Classic and 1 Shot, I can trigger samples fine from my MIDI keyboard, but in Slice mode, I see that Simpler is receiving MIDI info from my keyboard, but no samples play or are triggered. What gives?

This happens when I drag audio into Simpler, or when I slice audio track to a new MIDI track.
