Mentioned but worth mentioning again:
- MPE OUT to external devices
Works for me on standalone, is there some additional detail to this point?
What hhardware device are you sending MPE to? I am trying to do this with Expert Sleepers FH-2 so I can control modular gear.

- Simpler | LFO -> Detune
- Option to rename Hardware Ins and Outs
- Option to disable unused Hardware Ins and Outs

It would be nice if they added a “travel mode” option to prevent the P3S accidentally booting up in your bag. Maybe when you press the power button, the screen tells you to press the jog wheel to begin? Or like the Nintendo Switch where you press any button three times.

I like that travel mode idea. Happened to me yesterday when taking my P3S to the park, I got there and realized that some time in transit the power button got pressed and I lost 30% of the battery before I started using it.

A couple of jack adapters in the back (one in the headphone socket, one in output 2) would create stand-offs.

One could even create a custom switch cover from an unwanted adapter and some plastic.

I'd be afraid of damaging the jack sockets if they got bumped sadly.

I need to get around to filing these individually as bugs / features but until now i'm dumping them here

BUGS:
exchanging/replacing sample in clip should bring you to file's location like drum rack
exchanging/replacing sample in simpler (from Push interface) resets loop/warp settings, whereas replacing it from Live's broswer retains setting
Wavetable fold parameter does not respond to positive modulation values from matrix
changing track in note layout shouldn't display layout setting on LED screen, it gets in the way of controls. it should only appear when changing the layout
Live does not retain buffer setting when booted up with Push in control mode

FEATURES:
custom / permanent user Wavetable folder (Live/Standalone)
standalone needs default template option
recall touchstrip position per track / project (Standalone)
option to change between cue/solo on master track in standalone
renaming Favorite tabs (Standalone)
re-ordering tracks (Standalone)
midi clips need program change function for standalone
hold note function (shift+note maybe?) (Push/Standalone)
for instrument racks with drum rack + any chromatic synth, option to split grid layout for drum rack on bottom and synth on top (Push/Standalone)

total m4l integration
a more advanced step sequencer, random features over notes etc.
more synths
improved mod matrix UI, destination and mod sources are often hard to read.

Please make Mackie MCU mode available on Push 3 Standalone.

This would make using controllers such as Korg nanoKONTROL2 much easier.

Wish - return to same location when loading samples

Post by asperine » Sun Oct 08, 2023 4:36 pm

A small but very useful function would be that when you are loading samples into clips the sample browser does not jump back to the default location when you are loading samples.

the newest firmware beta for Push fixes this, at least for the currently selected clip.

- Setting a certain layout as default.
- Having a purely chromatic layout instead of being forced to used scales. No key note indicator, no unlighted pads.
Computer: MBP M1Pro 32GB 1TB, MixPre 6 MKII
Hardware: Syntrx II, Matriarch, Hydrasynth, Minifreak, Nord Drum 2, Modular (mainly Make Noise)
Controllers: Push 3, Launchpad Mk3, Launch Control, Sensel Morph, PC4, Nanokontrol

It would be really cool to be able to select different macro variations on Push. I would love to be able to open up the 909 core kit and just choose the hot or lofi macro variation directly from standalone. (I realize I could just save multiple presets in my user library, but this is still sorely missing functionality)

-Group devices in audio racks
