Push 3 CV out only when using push as audio interface?

Hi is it only possible to use CV (clock etc) via pedal/cv-out when Push is setup as the audio interface? I can't find a way to make it work when using push as a controller and using another audio interface?

This stuff is very much part of the audio interface side of the Push, so I would think yes, it only works if you access that audio interface in some way. And audio software often only lets you use one audio interface at a time. On mac you can make aggregate audio devices out of more than one audio device, so the music software will see more than one audio interface as a single device, but using aggregate devices can have some other implications such as in the areas of latency and stability.
