Push 3 standalone. To beta or not?

Not sure if there is a definite answer to this question but good to hear some opinions.

About to install a Push 3 upgrade kit. For those with standalone, is it better to go right for the beta, or to stick with the stable build?

Depends, the point of beta testing is to find and report bugs and revisions. If you’re not willing to stop working and properly log a bug if you find one (and/or potentially lose work), might be better off sticking with the release version.
