The new subtle UI tweaks are great IMO, it looks really nice now.
Is there any change to how fonts are handled - as in, not just Zoom… but font size options??
I don't remember seeing any changes with how fonts are handled in Live 12, but I don't use the zoom functionality either.

I think this is the first full release that has me a bit meh. I don't need any more synths and the other updates, whilst nice aren't earth shattering. I'll still buy the update as I just see it as an ongoing subscription on a lumpier basis, but yeah - not particularly excited about any of the new features.

Being able to dial in a Send on a track, and/or multiple Sends on multiple tracks, to Returns from Arrange view is enough for me. Besides the standard ‘latest version syndrome’ not needing to toggle back and forth (and relocate the track(s) I was working on) to dial in reverb is most welcome and worth the money to me

Here's a new feature that's not mentioned on the main "What's New in L12" page but that should make many people happy:

"A Keep Monitoring Latency in Recorded Audio option has been added to the [right-click](Win) / [CTRL-click](Mac) context menu of the Monitor radio buttons for each track. This option is enabled by default, but when unchecked, recordings will have the same latency as if recorded with monitoring set to Off, regardless of which monitoring mode is selected."

There's a ton of "small" things like this that people aren't aware of yet, I really encourage you to read the detailed release notes.

Oh my god, the amount of time I've spent tangling with this exact issue . It never bothered me too much for the years I was mainly working ITB but as soon as I started to reintegrate external sequencers and different midi devices ... that monitored latency thing had me jumping through all kinds of weird hoops to get around it. Lets hope this new system simplifies things a little!

Also I notice this, which will be handy for me
Added a Resync External Hardware option for sending resync messages to clock-synced hardware. When Sync is enabled for a device, you can set the resync behavior using the drop-down menu in the MIDI port’s output via the Link, Tempo & MIDI Preferences. In the same Preferences page, you can also enable the Show Resync Button, which will then display a Resync External Hardware indicator in Live’s Control Bar.

@emma You have to register on Ableton's Centercode page, then wait until they send you an email (meaning they've let some more people in).

Ability to cmd/select non-contiguous items, across more than 1 channel in Arrange without grabbing everything in between or chopping beginning/ends of events?

Ripple edit on a single channel as opposed to global?

Any defined event nudge values attached to a key command instead of 'drag it and hope whatever you're indeterminate zoom level fits what you want'?

Without at least the first 2 it might as well be a car without wheels at this point.

I’m really disappointed that we don’t get the option for more than only 7 collections . Or at least added submenus under the 7 collections that’s already there . Any chance this will be implemented in a future update Ableton ?

Also the possibility to freeze groups would be a huge wish , it would improve the workflow a lot !

You can create as many tags as you want now, they superseded collections while giving you the same functionality.

The new Tag Browser System works much better for Collections.
The previous "Collections" can be used as "Favorites" now.
And therefore, the amount of "Favorite Groups" is enough, imo.
My personal difference is:

Collections should grow over time,
Favorites should change over time.
:D

Is Operator finally going to support MPE, and if not, why not?
