Discard a cycle from being recorded

If have a step sequencer running whilst recording audio and midi and i am not happy with a cycle i would like to be able to discard of it on the fly, so both sound and midi of last cycle to be discarded on command, also in addition to stop midi and sound feed and let it cycle without being recorded as many cycles that pass until i press record again. Can anyone PLEASE help me with this =)
