Recording session with loops, recording keeps looping

I'm sorry if this is a newbie question.

I have a track that it based on loops. I make changes to the track as I go, turning different tracks on and off or manpulating effects.

I am sending the output from the master to a dedicated track to record my live session.

However, the recorded track is also looping so it keeps overwriting the recording as the loop starts over again.

How can I record to a track within Ableton?
