How do I remove Brand names from VST 3 Plug In list?

Post by Julia123 » Sat Jan 20, 2024 9:17 pm

I was able to have all of my VST2 plugs show in alphabetical order without being separated by their brands but I can't recall how I did it and would like to do this with my VST 3's. How can I remove the plug ins from these folders?

Thanks.

There's nothing you can do about it in the plugins Category.
I just checked and I also have a few plugins in the VST2 folder (i'm talking about Live's Browser) that aren't in their developper/brand's folder (there's actually no folder for these developers), while the others do. In my case, it seems like there's dev/brand folders only for when I have more than 1 plugin of a same brand.
I never noticed it before. It's only happening in the VST2 folder.
Anyway; one workaround would be to favorite your plugins.

Darn. I guess I will just do that with the favorites. I know all the plug in names when I'm looking but keep drawing blanks on the developer when I am in the 'flow'. I thought I would just adjust but it's not happening. Thanks.

If you know the plugin name the absolute fastest way is to hit "command f" to call up the search, type in for instance "Diva" and Bobs your uncle.
