Midi clip slice & assign device?

Post by tentackle » Fri Jan 26, 2024 11:17 pm

Does anybody know of a device that can collect Midi notes and chords from a midi clip and then reassign them to particular pads/midi notes for triggering? Basically, audio loop slicing but for midi.

Currently, I'm just using copies of a midi clip starting at various points and being triggered with my drum pad, which works, but maybe there's a better approach.

Thanks.

Is resampling an option ?
If not, do you want to extract single hits or short patterns of notes ?

No, resampling wouldn’t work.
I’d like to extract single hits. So either a single note or chord.

Racks + Pitch + Chord combo will be a little tedious but would work.
