Generic clip naming as a versioning tool

Keep getting back to this because unless automated smartly, clip naming remains obsolete.

Yet another possibility would be an option to have generic clip naming based on the track name, with index numbering added automatically each time a clip was modified uniquely. So imagine scenario

Create a new track.
change track name to synth
add a clip - automatically named as synth-001
tweak the clip
duplicate clip - still the same name
tweak the clip - renamed to synth-002
tweak further - name unchanged
tweak first clip - name unchanged because the clip was already unique
duplicate track - no automatic change of track name. all previous rules apply.
tweak the copy of the first clip. gets given automatic name synth-indexnumber
rename track to bass
tweak that clip again - gets renamed to bass-001

You get the idea.

So autonaming would serve as a differentiator more consequently than it does now. You could instantly tell which copies of clips are identical.

I think it would be quite easy to implement with live checking upon clip tweak if there is a clip with the same index number. If yes, assign next free index number.
