Live 12 - Premature Looper excitement

So I get myself all worked up for a moment when I heard the Live12 announcement, in particular the words Arrangement Looper.
My excitement was sadly short lived when I realised that it was for looper points in the Arrangement view.

Does anyone else think that a persistent window that shows the status of your live looper devices would be really useful?
They could be automatically detected or slots for manual assignment.

While we're at it, Looper could really do with an update. Why you can't overdub with the click of a button and it records a perfect quantized overdub is beyond me. Also having the insert looper effects chain work on the same track would be a lot cleaner I think. The insert looper idea is so genius I just wish it wasn't on a separate track.

It's just wishful thinking on my part as I really wish it all behaved a bit more like the RC505MKII looper
