I am having some very strange behaviour with MIDI over USB from my Bass Station 2. When I am trying to use the BS2 as a midi controller, Ableton fails to detect knob movements. When I add a plugin and ‘configure’ parameters to control, Ableton doesn’t detect knob movement. The yellow light blinks to show it is receiving data but it doesn’t read the movements. When I use midi learn on the plugin itself, every second knob reads almost like an on off switch. A knob turn only results in either fully off or half on, nothing in between. Other knob movements work as they should. I don’t have another controller to test but surely if Live is receiving data it should figure out what that data is? I am on Live 12 but had the same issues with 11. I am completely at a loss as to the cause of the problem, I have tried everything I can think off, turning off local control on the synth etc.
Are there any MIDI experts who may have some ideas?!!
