Not dragging every single individually stem into ableton:How?

Post by gallagherf » Sun Mar 10, 2024 11:41 am

Hey beautiful people!

I am sure there is a way to make Ableton automatically open every stem(audio wav) in one ableton lane and not me dragging each and every audio stem into one lane.

I forgot how though and cannot find it googling :'(

Anyone knows how??? <3 PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME AND HALP THIS HUMAN OUT! <3

you haven't described the issue and the intention clearly, but if you mean that you want to drag some stems in and each gets its own track - so that in Arrangement they will all run in parallel rather than one after another then this is how:

When you drag the the files in first multi-select them in your browser then drag them into arrangement and before you let go of the mouse button press "Control" (windows) and the hovering display of the waves about to be imported will visibly shift from sequential to parallel. When you release the mouse button it will make those 8 tracks (or however many is required) with the waves all aligned correctly.
