Edit waveforms by drawing
Edit waveforms by drawing
Editing audio waveforms by drawing.
So, when the sample warped/or not (for distructive correction) You should be able to simply take "pencil tool" and easy edit by drawing a sound wave directly on the track or in the audio editor. This function makes it possible to “Smooth” the signal, to avoid “Clicks”. Very useful and very easy to implement, ir's necessary. This removes the need for other audio editors. Draw waveforms/shape also allows use it together with Wavetable to make tables, which completely erases all the restrictions for making interesting forms of sounds and elevates the wavetable itself to a whole new level, where you no longer need serum.

Re: Edit waveforms by drawing
function to be found in wavelab.
Someone here pointed out that this can be worked around with volume automation, but you can't see the output amount, so +1
Also, as an option, normalised wave view with changing scale to show volume, the same regardless of the clip volume.

I'd like to see this feature described by the OP too. I think it is essential too to be able to edit the soundwave freely directly in the track lane with a pencil-like tool. +1

True Indeed there are work arounds but this option also exists in pro tools and is awesome

+1! This would be so useful.
Re: Edit waveforms by drawing
+1. Would be super helpful for audio repair and saves the step of exporting to another program. This feature is also available in Logic.
Re: Edit waveforms by drawing
I'd love this feature is well. It's 2022. Pro Tools was able to do this in the 90s if I remember correctly.

+1, super usefull
Re: Edit waveforms by drawing
But ProTools didn't evolve since the 90s in a lot of other areas.
Anyway, i am missing that feature together with some other ProTools features like strip silence too.
