Linking 2x push 3 for live performance

Post by eldrazi23 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 3:59 pm

Hi!

I'm planning to do a performance using 2x push 3 in standalone - what would be the best way to go about the tempo sync between the two?

Many thanks!

Doesn't get any easier than straight up midi clock in that situation.

Link would probably be easier actually.

It totally is, and it's bloody great fun, I think this is the vision that the standalone was originally intended for...

If someone (not me) could finally get the Pioneer ProDJLink from CDJ's to play happily with Link then it'd be a game changer... I know of some people that are working on it...
Cheers

Don't you still need both devices to be on the same wifi network though (since Push doesn't have an ethernet port)?

I was thinking in a lot of venues that might not be possible (reliably), or would add more complexity to set up over simple midi clock.

Yeah you're right.
I wonder how reliable a private network with a smartphone as the source could be.

This is what we did as the venue wifi was awful, worked well for us...

Don't know when I'd get another opportunity with 2 standalones though... .
