Ableton 11 Strange Behavior with Tempo Automation in 8 Time

I am having some extremely strange bahavior in one of my tracks and I am not sure how to even attempt to rectify this. In one section of my track I want to go from 4/4 into 11/8 for one bar at double time and then back into 4/4. The software seems to very much hate doing this though and it is not recognizing the tempo change until an 8th note after the 11/8 bar starts and an 8th note after it ends. Furthermore, Ableton strangely thinks the 4/4 bar before the 11/8 bar is malformed, but that is not correct since it contains exactly 4 beats. I'm not sure what the issue could be, but I have been messing with it for hours. At this point I think it's just a bug, but maybe I am missing something. Any advice on how to fix this?

If I need to provide more information for support purposes I'll gladly do it, but I don't even know what to provide that is helpful here.
