Is there a way to remove section of audio clip and not leave a space?

I edit a lot of podcasts in Ableton and have to cut small sections (coughs, pauses, etc) a lot. Having to drag them back together afterwards to fill the space removed is quite tedious, so I wondered if there was some shortcut or method of cutting stuff out and having the clip 'rejoin' to fill in the gap automatically. Thanks

Yeah, you need to use the "cut time" shortcut cmd+shift+X (or cmd+shift+delete also works on Mac), but as its name implies it's cutting Arrangement time i.e it'll affect all tracks so beware if you have multiple tracks above/below. Just move them forward while you cut your stuff and bring them back when it's done.

That's it! Thank you very much
