Live 12: I can no longer create assignments with the Option key! (macOS)

Good evening,
I have a small problem: since my switch to L12, I am no longer able to create key assignments with the Option key on the Mac. For example, if I type "Opt a", nothing happens. It worked on L11. This seriously reduces the number of available shortcuts! Am I the only one having this problem?

You're not the only one, it's a known bug in L12.
Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
