Version: Live 12 Suite v12.0.1
OS: Ventura 13.6.6
System: Macbook Pro 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
I have a live set saved to a OneDrive synched folder,
/Users/me/OneDrive/Music/my_project/my_project.als
I work on the project, and each time I click save a backup is also saved into;
/Users/me/OneDrive/Music/my_project/Backups/
So after ten saves the /Backups/ folder looks something like this;
my_project [2024-04-02 185626].als
my_project [2024-04-01 190057].als
....etc.... (10 files get stored here)
On the 10th save (i.e. when all ten backup slots are taken) the oldest file gets copied into my OneDrive root folder. So I end up with this;
/Users/me/OneDrive/my_project [2024-04-02 185626].als
This behaviour continues, every time I click save on any of my projects, the oldest backup file gets moved into my OneDrive root folder.
Is this expected behaviour?
Solved: .als backup files being copied into root folder

That's useful, thanks for the link. I get the general impression that OneDrive does not co-exist well with Live (as I'm also running into issues with my /Samples/ folders not synching correctly.lincolnkid wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 12:50 pmNot sure if it will help, but Ableton provide some general tips for cloud storage:
