Can't overwrite existing save files: Bug? Community advice appreciated!

Hi everyone,

Since a few weeks I've had a very annoying issue with Ableton Live 11: Ableton crashes when I try and overwrite existing save files. I have already put in a support request and I have been in contact with someone, but so far no luck.

The problem:
Whenever I try to overwrite any save file, no matter the size of the project (even if an empty project), it'll crash.

The system:
2023 M2 Pro MBP (with latest OS)
Ableton Live 11.3.22 Suite (latest update for 11)

The unsuccessful attempts:
- The obvious: rebooting
- Removal of external devices, interfaces, midi connections, control surfaces (everything...)
- Freeing up disk space (up to 100+ GB)
- Giving Ableton full disk access (suggestion by Ableton support, unfortunately didn't help)
- Full reset and reinstall of Ableton

What does work:
- Everything else (Ableton functions completely normal outside of the saving issue)
- I CAN save projects by 'saving as' a new save file (but that's getting really annoying obviously...)

Does anyone here have any suggestions? It's getting pretty annoying to have to create a new save file for every single thing...

Hans
