As someone who has been an Ableton Live user for the last 20 years and having recently started using it again and upgraded from 9 Suite to 12 Suite, I noticed this app on Youtube. Thought yeah I'll have a look. Pretty amazed to see a price tag of $15 for an extremely limited iPhone add on. I mean Come ON. Proppellerhead had something similar 10 years ago as a free to all app. I can understand a price being charged for new users but then again maybe Ableton is missing the point here. As a gateway app it may just give them a lot more exposure and bring new users onboard. Maschine, MPC and others figured this out years ago. Given the price charged for Live12 Suite (over $1000 here in Australia) it seems a bit of an insult. Especially given the extreme limitations of the app. One quick glance through the suggested "improvements" and I'm like what, that's not included already?
Make it free to all registered users and I'll have a look but until then, yeah, nah.
