Some time ago, IT-Multimedia had a promotion where you could buy T-Racks with 22 plugins for a very reasonable price. I bought it at the time.
Since this installation of the 22 plugins also installs all of the other 50+ plugins (without a license) and I was always annoyed by the search for my licensed plugins, I decided to mark my licensed plugins as favorites so that I had them immediately available. All good.
Now there was a new promotion from IT-Muldimedia where you could buy the complete T-Racks package with all plugins for 49 euros. I bought this too. Now I have all the plugins of this package, although I will probably use some of them very rarely or never. But at this price.......
I have now installed the new T-Racks over the old one. What happens? After scanning the plugins, all plugins appear twice in the IT-Multimedia folder. They simply exist twice. It doesn't matter which of the two I use, they both work. You could live with that. But it still annoys me.
Is there perhaps a way to remove these duplicate entries? Maybe remove a specific (hidden?) file and rescan? That would be really great.
Ah, in case it's important. I am working with L12 and Windows 10.

Re: Plugins appear twice in the browser
Is it possible that you are seeing the VST2 and VST3 versions at the same time? Cheers, k
Re: Plugins appear twice in the browser
No, that's not the case. It's only VST3.
Perhaps I should uninstall the entire IK-Multimedia stuff and then reinstall it.
Nevertheless, the question remains. Why is every plugin displayed twice. This must be noted in some kind of file.

Re: Plugins appear twice in the browser
It's a good question. The answer is probably in the crappy online manual somewhere, so none of us will ever find it.
Re: Plugins appear twice in the browser
I reinstalled the whole IK-Multimedia stuff. Now it's fine. No double entrys anymore.
Problem solved.
