Follow action problem when recording

Hi, I tried to find an answer but couldn't. Hopefully someone here can enlighten me.
Ableton Live 12.0.10 Suite, I have setup a set of 18 scenes with a bunch of tracks, as a template for a song I want to record. I created a drum clip for each scene and have turned on "Follow action" for each clip (In the DRUMS 132-track") and have set the action to "Next".

So far, so good: when I hit "Play", or start the first Scene play button, the first drumclip (INTRO) from the first scene starts to play and at the end it jumps to the second drumclip (Couplet 1) in the second scene.

The problem:
However, when I try to *record* a clip on another track (in this case a clip in the second column/track Omnisphere) in the first Scene, I get a 1 bar count-in (which is good) when I click on the record bullet of the Omnisphere clip, but when recording starts not the first drumclip (INTRO) starts playing but the *second* one (Couplet 1). I am puzzled because I clearly want the first drum clip to start playing at the moment the recording starts. Is this description of the problem clear? If so, does anyone have an answer what I am doing wrong here?

In Live's prefs, enable 'Start Recording On Scene Launch'. With all clips stopped, rec-arm the OMNISPHERE track and fire the scene, should work as you expect now.

Or you could just play along to the follow action track without actually recording on the ONMISPHERE track, then press the Capture MIDI button to capture what you played into a clip. Miight not be as reliable as recording but it may work well for you.
