How to lock Launchpad Pro MK3 to a track?

I'm trying to do something that ought to be simple, but I don't see how to do it.

I have a Live set with a bunch of MIDI tracks, some of which contain drum racks.

I want to be able to connect a Launchpad Pro MK3 to my computer and lock it to one of those tracks, so that whatever else is going on, the pads on the Launchpad (in Note mode) will play on that track.

I can kind of do this by setting that track to take input from the Launchpad, and then setting all the other tracks to take input from somewhere other than the Launchpad; but in addition to that being a nuisance (especially if I sometimes want to play that Live set without the Launchpad!), it has the problem that if I select a different track, it shifts the focus of the Launchpad so that it will no longer play notes from that track.

Any suggestions?
